Forget about New Year resolutions!

new beginnings Jan 2014I hope you all had a great start of the year.

I don’t know about you but I am always looking forward to a new year, to new beginnings. It seems that we are given the chance to start again with a clean slate. In a way it is exactly that! It is the best time to turn a page, reflect on all the achievements of the year gone, let go of the disappointments of anything not yet achieved, and get busy setting new, exciting goals.

So what usually happens in January? You are back at work after a couple of weeks enjoying your family and having fun with your friends. You feel optimistic and decide it is time to change your life for the better... and this time you mean it! What did you promise yourself to give up, or do less of, or do more of?

It is mid-January now. How are you getting on with your resolutions? I hope you are doing well and if you have already broken one or two of your resolutions, there is no need to worry as you can start again at a more appropriate time and with a different, more empowered mindset.

Albert Einstein said: “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Maybe it is time to change the way you do things and focus on what you really want to achieve this year.

The first and most important step is to know what you would love to create and manifest as a reality in your life. You need to be able to imagine the end result. That alone is obviously not enough. It would be like dreaming and hoping your dreams will come true just because you asked the Universe... once! You have to imagine repeatedly you have reached your destination, you have to imagine what it would look like, what you would feel, what you would hear, what people would say to you, you have to believe it can happen, focus on the result, put all your energy into achieving the outcome, and take the obvious actions which have allowed you to get there.

Do not worry if you fail at some point. It is not real failure, you have only learned a way to not make it work, so use the lesson or feedback and get back on track until you are successful.

Worries, doubts, or fear might also get in the way even when you think you are being so positive. It’s ok. Acknowledge them - don’t even try to ignore them as they will just be amplified and create more stress - recognise what you are feeling and use a strategy which works for you like breathing exercises, meditation, self-hypnosis, yoga, talking about it, getting more sleep, smiling, hugging a loved one, or go out for a walk to clear your head and observe nature, ... Remember that what you are feeling is not real as the events you are anxious about have not even happened yet. So don’t give power to unresourceful emotions or states, keep your energy to create what you love instead of what you do not love. After all, FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real!

You must take personal responsabilityNew Year resolutions do not work: that’s right, they tend to be merely wishes you seldom follow through and you end up feeling guilty about breaking the promises you made to yourself! So do yourself a favour, change the way you think about them and change the result you get. And always go for what you love!

I wish you all the very best for 2014, it is still early days so plenty of time to think of what you would love to create and achieve by December. Happy outcomes!

Should you need any help in deciding what you really want to do or have this year, if you want to learn new ways of dealing with stress, and if you think you could use my services to enable you to take the first steps towards your dream life, then get in touch and let’s get started.

Love and happiness,

Believe the impossible!

new year post 2014 It is a New Year and time to think of what you'd love to achieve in 2014.
Imagine the outcome, believe anything is possible, focus on the end result, take obvious actions, and achieve your goal as if by magic.

What is the first dream you would love to see come true?
Writing down your goal and sharing it will also give it more power:)

Goodbye 2013

As the end of the year draws closer, it is time to look back on 2013, be grateful for our achievements, reflect on what we have not yet achieved - remember there are no failures, only feedback - and what we need to change in the New Year in order to create more of what we love.

Goodbye 2013B

It has been a great year for Your Catalyst. I am doing a job I love, the way I love, and I am enabling my clients to create their dream life, happiness, balance, and success.

I am thankful to all of you who are supporting me by spreading the word, liking Your Catalyst on Facebook or following me on Twitter.

I am grateful for all the new clients I met this year and the amazing relationships that followed.

I received this moving message from one of my clients after an e-mail I sent last week with my Winter Solstice blog.

“Dear Dany,

Thank you for these fantastic thoughts. They are a blessing which will carry us through the on coming season.

Thank you, also for all your hard work enabling us to see and achieve the very best of our inner selves and make our dreams manifest. You are the catalyst indeed and your work changes lives.

Here is to the new year being as happy and prosperous as the last for all our families and loved ones.

Love.

Danny” [Danny Sapani – Actor]

Reading messages like the one above really warms my heart. Doing this work is so rewarding.

I have achieved a lot of my goals this year and some I have not... yet! I am not giving up on those dreams. If anything, it has taught me once again to be mindful of what I focus on: “Don't dwell on what went wrong. Instead, focus on what to do next. Spend your energies on moving forward toward finding the answer.” ~ Denis Waitley

One thing is sure: I have learned a lot about myself, about others, and about the world (and beyond). I have been and still will continue to follow the path of self-discovery, knowledge of the human’s minds, and intuitive coaching, as it is teaching me so much and giving me additional tools to help others.

Now it is your turn to review 2013,  to reflect on the highs and lows of the year, to let go of old patterns and behaviours which no longer serve you. It is time to celebrate every little win, every achievement on your way to your dream life. Ask yourself these simple questions:

-          What are you really proud of achieving this year?

-          What could have been better?

-          Which challenge has taught you the most about yourself and others?

Never regret. If it is good, it is wonderful. If it is bad, it is experience!

Drop me a line if you would love to learn easy techniques which would enable you to create your dream life.

Wishing you positive outcomes for the last few days of 2013.

Love and happiness,

Dany x

Happy Winter Solstice :)

The Winter Solstice, also known as Yule, marks the moment the sun shines at its most southern point and the official time of the Winter season. It is the longest night and the shortest day of the year, immediately followed by the start of the increase in the hours of daylight until the Summer Solstice.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASome people feel they experience dark moods and it might be linked to the darkness in the sky, the limited amount of sun and light we get during the autumn and winter months. Hope is on its way: The Winter Solstice represents the rebirth of the sun and time to celebrate the coming of light.

It is time to assess the past year. Let go of what you no longer need to worry about, and think of where you would love to be, and what you would love to achieve. It is time to prepare the ground for planting the seeds which will blossom in the Spring.

Focus on bringing light and warmth into the darkness and cold of Winter. The Yule season is full of magic and hope, it is about renewal, rebirth, and new beginnings. Start to change your life for the better, set new goals, have fun with your loved ones, and find inner peace.

Warm wishes always,

Dany

Easy recipe for happiness!

Practise Gratefulness daily :)

Pay attention to all the good things that happen in your life; even the small moments like a smile from a stranger. Be grateful for them and you will notice how they seem to increase exponentially, thus making you happier everyday!

Forgiveness

  • Forgive others for what they have done to you in the past (you need peace and by staying angry with them, you are only hurting yourself and polluting your inner space).
  • Forgive yourself for your mistakes and make sure you have learned from them.
  • Create the future you'd love to live (instead of worrying about events which have not yet happened). Put all your energy into your dreams and your goals so you can have a happy and fulfilled life.

Take actions now, you are the only one who can create Magic in your life

Today's tip from Your Catalyst:

Don't lose sight of what you'd love to achieve. The key is to move forward. Whether you take baby steps or run does not matter. The important thing is movement and even if sometimes it feels like you take a step backwards or sideways, get back on the road until you reach your destination

What did you do today to get closer to the end result of what you'd love to have or do?

The importance of trust.

"Overcaution is as bad as no caution. It makes other people suspicious.

If you expect others to have confidence in you, you must conduct yourself in a way that inspires trust. Being so cautious that you never try anything new will damage your credibility just as much as will throwing all caution to the winds and trying any idea that comes along without thinking it through. (Most people equate any kind of extreme behavior with poor judgment.) But don’t fall victim to “analysis paralysis.” Learn to separate facts from opinions and make sure your decisions — and your subsequent actions — are based on reliable information. Then take action!"
